A class to hold stellar parameters and variability characteristics.

Methods

__init__([radius, mass, amplitude, period])

delta2radius(delta)

Planet's radius from relative amplitude (in \(R_\oplus\)).

min_radius(period, SNR, N, sigma)

Given a target SNR and periods, returns the minimum planetary radius detectable (in \(R_\oplus\)).

period2tau(orbital_period)

Relative duration given orbital period.

period_grid(time_span[, period_max, ...])

Grid of optimal periods following Ofir (2014) (in days).

radius2delta(radius)

Relative amplitude given planet's radius.

roche_period([density])

Roche limit for a given density and assuming circular orbit (in days).

snr(orbital_period, radius, N, sigma)

Transit signal-to-noise-ratio.

tau2period(tau)

Period given relative duration (in days).

transit_depth(radius)

Transit depth from planet's radius (in \(R_\oplus\)).

transit_duration(orbital_period)

Transit duration from orbital period (days).
